Our client is currently seeking experienced Highway Design Engineers to join their team on a contract basis.
Working within the Highways team, you will be supporting the Capital Highways Improvements Programme in Bournemouth, with a particular focus on Safer Routes to School, the Bus Service Improvement Plan, and the Active Travel Fund.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and implementing highway improvement projects
* Supporting the Capital Highways Improvements Programme
* Contributing to projects such as Safer Routes to School, Bus Service Improvement Plan, and Active Travel Fund
* Collaborating with the project team to ensure project objectives are met
* Preparing design documentation and technical reports
* Conducting site visits and assessments as required
* Ensuring all designs comply with relevant standards and legislation
* Utilising own vehicle for business travel when necessary
Job Requirements
* Experience in highway design engineering
* Understanding of capital highway improvements projects
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to use own vehicle for business travel
* Strong technical and design skills
* Excellent report writing and documentation skills
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
