Overview
An opportunity has arisen at Broomfield Hospital for someone to join our friendly team as an Echocardiographer in our Cardiac Department. You will provide Echocardiography in inpatient, outpatient and community services, based in our PFI wing where we have the latest equipment and facilities. We are a BSE accredited department and perform a range of Echocardiography services including physiology-led stress echocardiography and physiology-led valve clinics.
Please note we are unable to sponsor this role, as this is a fixed-term maternity cover post and part-time, 28.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will work within the echocardiography department as a highly specialist clinical cardiac scientist/echocardiographer, independently performing and reporting routine and complex echocardiograms in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Provide training support and education to students and colleagues.
* Contribute to delivering excellent local and specialist services to improve patient health and well-being.
Qualifications
* Hold accreditation with the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) in adult trans-thoracic echo (TTE).
* Be expected to hold or be working towards registration as a clinical scientist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or RCCP registration.
* Experience in physiology-led stress echocardiography and physiology-led valves clinics is desirable.
