Adult Social Care Solicitor – Interim (c. £430 per day, umbrella/PAYE)

We’re seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join a supportive and high-performing legal team within a local authority setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor or barrister with in-depth knowledge of adult social care law and local government practice.
Candidates must be open to participate in round table meetings of the cases
Key responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on adult social care matters, including Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding, ordinary residence, and Court of Protection work.
Manage a varied caseload independently, delivering high-quality written and verbal advice to clients and senior stakeholders.
Prepare and present cases before the Court of Protection and other relevant forums.
Support and collaborate with colleagues across the wider legal services team, ensuring compliance with statutory and policy frameworks.About you:
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX).
Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and related legislation.
Previous local authority or public sector legal experience is highly desirable.
Confident communicator with excellent drafting and analytical skills.
