As Planning Engineer, you will be directly responsible for the production, maintenance and update, change control, schedule risk management and reporting of high-quality Primavera P6 schedules for SP Transmission projects.
What you'll be doing
Developing high-quality project schedules within Primavera (P6) Enterprise, you will cultivate and maintain close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring regular, accurate and consistent schedule updates from internal and external stakeholders.
Integrating Contractor tasks and updates into the SP Energy Networks project schedule, you will identify and highlight schedule risks and variance to internal and external stakeholders.
Developing mitigation scenarios where programme risk and variance is identified, you will co-ordinate between multi-functional teams to resolve identified project or programme issues.
Providing accurate progress reporting at a pre-defined frequency and on an ad hoc basis, you will use project plans and project schedules to pinpoint programme inter-dependencies or clashes, communicating these and lead development of solutions.
What you'll bring
With working knowledge of Planning software tools (i.e. Primavera P6 & MSPe), you will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent experience.
Possessing a clear understanding of Project Management principles, you will have strong influencing and stakeholder management abilities with good verbal and written communications skills.
Highly numerate and analytical, you will possess an understanding of Utility regulatory principles and major capital project developments and delivery lifecycles
