The Vacancy
Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service comprises the Public Health Nursing Service (Health Visitors and School Nurses) and the Family Support Service. Our aim is to support children and families in having the best start in life, developing well, and thriving. We offer a wide range of services, information, and support for families with children up to 5 years old.
As a Floating Receptionist/Administrator, you will handle front-of-house responsibilities, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and professional service at all times, while maintaining discretion and confidentiality. You will also support administrative tasks.
The Role
* Strong organisational skills and ability to adapt to new information and processes.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional telephone manner.
* Develop an understanding of the Service’s full offerings to effectively signpost and support families.
* Provide administrative support including data entry, record keeping, and supporting event organization.
* Assist with composing letters, managing incoming and outgoing post, diary management, and processing purchase orders.
Requirements
* Level 2 Qualification in Customer Service or Administration is desirable.
* Valid UK driving licence, access to a car during working hours, and willingness to travel between Centres.
* Working hours are flexible between 8am-6pm, Wednesday to Friday.
