As part of this journey, were excited to introduce a newly created Financial Controller role within our Contracting and Distribution division. Why This Role? This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role, supporting the Divisional Finance Director across the business. Youll be instrumental in driving financial control, reporting excellence, and process improvementshelping shape the future of finance within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. Your Impact As Financial Controller, youll lead on: Cross-Entity Financial Oversight Deliver accurate monthly management accounts aligned with Group deadlines Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and reviews Coordinate cash flow management and forecasting across multiple entities Uphold compliance with internal procedures and legislation Support external audits and stakeholder engagement Lead month-end and year-end reviews to provide clear insights into P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet performance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts for P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow Enhance FP&A reporting quality across finance teams Partner with the DFD to deliver commercial insights and build business partnering capability Produce performance reports for internal and external stakeholders Drive improvements in reporting tools and data accuracy Strategic Projects Expand the use of Datarails to improve financial visibility and reporting Collaborate with Group and Divisional teams to streamline processes and systems Support evaluation of new business initiatives and commercial proposals What Youll Bring Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 5 years post-qualification experience in accounting or commercial finance Experience with long-term contracts and contract accounting (preferred) Strong team leadership and analytical skills Proficiency in SAGE 50, Great Plains, Microsoft Business Central, and Datarails Experience in multi-entity or group structures Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities Who You Are Youre commercially astute, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
