Job Purpose: To provide a food and drink (including Barista) service in a welcoming, clean environment for our residents/customers in our village cafe. Key Outcomes/Results: Creates a welcoming environment for residents and customers in our village restaurants with a focus on customer service and providing a wide variety of food and drinks. Builds a rapport with residents. Provides a café/barista service in the village restaurants. Supports team members by assisting in the preparation of food and beverages. Serves customers using the EPOS. Responsible for day-to-day cleanliness, hygiene and washing up after a food service. Safely closes down the kitchen at the end of the day in line with protocols in preparation for the next day. Removes waste. Skills and Qualifications: Essential: Knowledge and experience of good food hygiene practices Knowledge of health and safety principles Good standard of general education Desirable: Barista trained Food hygiene qualification level 2 Diploma (or NVQ) level 1 Catering/Food Service or equivalent Experience working in a busy café/restaurant environment Experience of working with older people Experience using an EPOS The role Being in one of our catering teams means you'll be providing hot, healthy and satisfying food not only for residents, but also for visitors and your fellow colleagues.
