Job Description
We are recruiting an Interim Principal Building Control Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Essex, on a 3-month contract.As an InterimPrincipal Building ControlSurveyor, you will be responsible for supportof the delivery of our Building Control team through undertaking assessing a range of Building Control applications suitable to your accreditation.Whats on offer:Rate:£70-75 per hour (inside of IR35 and through umbrella)Contract:3-month interim assignment (potential for extension)Working pattern:Full-time (3740 hours per week)This role will require you to work out of the office 1 day a week and travel around the area 2 days a weekKey responsibilities include:
* Carry out site inspections and plan checking (min 2 days on site per week)
* Attend to dangerous structures
* Carry outenforcement of The Building Regulations and Building Act as necessary
* Supervise senior, junior surveyors and admin staff
* Deputise for the Building Control Manager when required
* Assist the Building Control Manager in the implementation of the BSR operational Standards
* Assist the Building Control Manager in procedural changes to the service
* Plan checking
The successful InterimPrincipal Building Control Surveyor will have:
* Professional qualifications by one the chartered institutes with a specialism in Building Control
* Minimum Class 2F Registration and Chartered with CIOB/ RICS/ CABE
* Experience within a similar post
* Social housing experience
