SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialist) - Supply Basis

are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to work across a trust of schools in the Rotherham area on a flexible supply basis.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialist), your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism
Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
Helping to create a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
Encouraging independence, engagement, and confidence in pupils
Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Requirements
Successful candidates will ideally have:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with autism/SEN
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Flexibility to work across different school settings
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
