Position
Customer Delivery Team Leader, IKEA Sheffield – part of our Fulfilment Team.
What you will need to have
* You enjoy leading, supporting, coaching and mentoring a team, and you’re passionate about people—always striving to deliver high‑quality customer service.
* You are someone who delivers goals and targets by leading your team effectively.
* You can analyse data and turn findings into tangible actions to achieve results based on business goals.
* You lead by example, supporting your team and the wider business as required.
* You have good IT literacy and are comfortable learning and working with new systems.
* Ability to implement a structured way of working within your area of responsibility.
* You have held a clean Full UK Driving Licence for a minimum of 24 months.
* You have at least 12 months experience leading a team of at least 10 people in a Transportation role.
* You have experience working within a Logistics environment.
* You have experience planning for succession through regular performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring your team.
* You have experience resolving customer issues and complaints, achieving a satisfactory outcome for both customer and business.
* Experience managing budgets and working with profits and losses.
What you will be doing day to day
* Drive high‑quality, efficient Last Mile operations by planning staffing, shifts, equipment, and delivery routes to consistently achieve daily targets.
* Support your team to deliver an excellent customer service experience.
* Work with your team to take action to prevent and reduce damages.
* Lead the team to handle customer complaints and vehicle-related incidents, including root cause analysis, escalations, and implementing action plans to improve service.
* Ensure all vehicle and compliance checks are carried out; oversee regular servicing and maintenance of vehicles and timely resolution of issues.
* Work in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal regulations, local health, safety and security legislation, vehicle checks, and the working environment.
What we offer
* Starting date: April 2026
* Starting salary: £31,000 per annum, based on competence & experience
* 39 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 6.00am – 9.30pm, 5 days out of 7, including alternate weekends
