Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.

Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.

We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!

We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you seeking a career that offers variety and is rewarding? Do you enjoy working with people and want to make a real difference? This could be the ideal job for you! We currently have opportunities for caring, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team in Aberdeen City. In this role you will be supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities to live independently in their own homes and work with a tailored care and support plan to meet each individual's needs. The people we support are fun loving and active in the community enjoying many activities such as swimming, dancing, gym, eating out, arts & crafts, music and gardening. The support in this service includes medication management, dietary support, communication, autism, epilepsy and dysphraxia. All staff are trained in Epilepsy, Medication and Autism Awareness. Support Workers should have an awareness and understanding of the training offered and maintain this to a high standard. Shifts vary including early, late and a waking night. There are 2 or 3 staff on shift at one time, there is also one to one support at set times for each person we support. We are looking to fill a Full Time post. Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act .

Your values:

The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun! We like people who are reliable and honest, so the people we support can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart. It’s important that you are reliable and honest and can communicate well with everyone.
