Cedar is currently partnered with a mid-market PE-backed healthcare provider to help them secure an Interim Financial Controller. This role reports into the CFO and will be based in the Brighton area on a hybrid basis (2-3 days per week). It is a 3-6 month assignment, paying £500-550 per day.

The Role
You will be responsible for the smooth running of all day-to-day finance activities, ensuring core processes and controls are delivered to the highest standard. Working closely with the CFO and leading a small finance team, you'll provide stability and clarity during a critical phase.
Full ownership of P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting.
Deliver timely and accurate month-end close and management reporting.
Oversee statutory audit and compliance requirements.
Ensure strong financial controls and efficient finance processes.
Provide insightful variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
Manage and support the finance team to deliver consistently high-quality outputs.
Support the CFO with ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required.
Your Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Strong technical grounding with experience across financial reporting, audits, and controls.
Hands-on finance leader comfortable managing a small team.
Proven ability to deliver in BAU-heavy interim assignments.
Exposure to PE-backed or growth environments is advantageous.
