You are an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor with strong IT skills, looking to join a well-established and growing electrical contractor delivering projects across Munster. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS who is looking for career progression and long-term development, working across multiple live contracts from tender stage through to final accounts, ensuring maximum commercial benefit and strong project margin performance. Electrical Quantity Surveyor Skills: 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction Economics (or related discipline) Minimum 4 years’ experience working on building services or construction projects as a QS / Commercial Manager Strong technical background in electrical contracting or construction environments Proven track record in QS fundamentals including cost control, procurement, valuations, forecasting, and final accounts Electrical Engineering / Electrician background highly beneficial Strong knowledge of the design & build process with excellent commercial awareness Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation ability Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong operational and reporting skills, with confidence producing cost reports and management accounts Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial / cost management systems (strong IT skills essential) Confident working with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to protect commercial interests As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor: Review contracts and ensure compliance across multiple projects Support operational procurement activity and contract administration in conjunction with the Procurement Department Manage and forecast project cashflow across a portfolio of live works Deliver commercial management and reporting to ensure accurate and reliable financial performance tracking Provide data, analysis, and reporting on risks and commercial issues for management review Improve and implement best-practice commercial processes, budgeting, and cost control systems Monitor progress against programme and provide weekly reporting on planned vs actual progress Review incoming correspondence from clients, design teams, and subcontractors, identifying contractually critical items and supporting timely responses Advise project teams on contractual requirements, ensuring compliance across site delivery Control costs and manage budgets to ensure targets and profitability are achieved Manage client relationships from a commercial perspective, ensuring strong retention and agreement of final accounts Work closely with Project Managers to protect commercial interests and ensure business goals are achieved Prepare progress applications, monthly cost reports, and management accounts for each project Support the Commercial Director with commercial assurance and margin performance forecasting Manage subcontractor accounts including interim valuations, payment certification, and final account settlement in line with procurement terms and retention requirements Administer contract obligations, interim applications, remeasures, variations, dayworks, and claims submissions Identify escalation clauses, labour/material increases, and other commercial risk factors early to protect project margin The Package: Salary: Competitive Salary, alongside an attractive benefits package and clear long-term progression opportunities.
