About the Role
Believe and Achieve Sports is seeking a compassionate and energetic Behaviour & Development Mentor to support pupils in primary schools with learning difficulties. This unique role uses physical activity as a tool to help children develop essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills outside the traditional classroom setting.
You'll work closely with school staff to deliver structured sessions that reduce classroom disruption and promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver small-group and one-to-one physical activity sessions focused on behaviour and emotional development.
Support pupils with learning difficulties during core learning time.
Use movement-based games and challenges to build social and cognitive skills.
Track pupil progress using provided observation and behaviour tools.
Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children in a school, nursery, or sports coaching setting.
Understanding of SEND and behaviour support strategies.
Confident leading physical activities and games for young children.
Calm, patient, and empathetic communicator.
Able to work independently and as part of a wider school team.
Qualifications & Experience
Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, Sports Coaching, or similar (preferred)
Experience supporting children with learning or behavioural needs
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
