You will share responsibility for coordination of day to day clinical activity, staff management, and the effective delivery of health services.The Health Services Team deal with a broad range of health issues, respond to emergencies, consult with external health services and undertake health education for this high health needs population. Working collaboratively with Doctors, Allied Health professionals, external agencies, and other Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) staff you will promote a philosophy of care within the prison which ensures the delivery of quality primary health services to those in our management. The ability to form new relationships is vital in this role.Mōu | About youWe want to hear from you if you are a Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate who meets these key requirements:* You have experience working in a range of health settings, particularly primary or acute health environments* You are skilled at working with people who present with acute and/or complex health needs* You thrive on working in a challenging environment, are able to work autonomously but also a strong team player* You are an effective leader of others* You demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision making and are comfortable working within a highly regulated environment* You are curious, bring a growth mindset and demonstrate a commitment to your own professional development* You are committed to improving outcomes for people in prison* Your practice demonstrates understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to supporting achievement of equitable health outcomes.Utu ā-tau | SalaryStarting salary step 1 $131,718.
