Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Process all guest check-ins, verify guest identity and payment methods, assign rooms, and activate/issue room keys. Set up accurate guest accounts according to their requirements, enter Marriott Rewards information, and ensure rates match market codes, documenting any exceptions. Secure payment prior to issuing room keys, verify and adjust billing as necessary. Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists. Complete cashier and closing reports, supply guests with directions and property information, and accommodate guest requests, contacting staff if needed. Follow up to ensure requests are met. Process various payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges, and balance and secure receipts. Count and secure the bank at the start and end of each shift. Obtain manual authorizations and adhere to all accounting procedures. Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team efforts, listen and respond to employee concerns. Follow company policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions. Complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely. Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare accurate written documents, and answer phones appropriately. Ensure adherence to quality standards, utilize computers/POS systems effectively, and perform physical tasks as needed, including standing, sitting, walking, and lifting objects up to 10 pounds. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least 1 year of related work experience.
* At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
* No specific license or certification required.
