Senior Project Manager – Cabling Infrastructure
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile, multi-phase cabling infrastructure programme within a secure government environment. This is a pivotal role overseeing complex workstreams, including structured cabling, network integration, containment, and systems deployment.
You will be the driving force behind the safe, timely, and successful execution of this critical project, engaging with diverse stakeholders across government, security, facilities, and IT.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale cabling programme.
* Manage multiple workstreams: design, civils, containment, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders in secure and classified environments.
* Ensure adherence to security protocols, Health & Safety standards, and technical specifications.
* Oversee delivery partners, contractors, and internal teams for quality outcomes.
* Maintain programme plans, RAID logs, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
* Proactively identify risks, manage change control, and ensure documentation compliance.
Requirements:
* Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling systems (Cat6/Cat6a, fibre), containment, and network integration.
* Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects within secure or sensitive environments.
* Outstanding stakeholder management and communication abilities.
* Strong programme governance, planning, risk management, and reporting skill
* Eligible for SC Clearance (Security Clearance).
Desirable:
* Industry certifications such as CNIDP, CNIT, BICSI.
* PRINCE2, MSP, APM qualifications.
* Familiarity with CDM Regulations, JSP standards, or MoD/Gov technical guidance.
Additional Information:
* Site attendance required depending on project phase.
* Must be a UK national due to site restrictions.
* Flexibility for occasional out-of-hours or weekend work during key phases.
