Buyer Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a thriving manufacturing company based in Basingstoke due to business expansion. The successful candidate will be working alongside the Senior Buyer with opportunity to develop within this position. Responsibilities as a Buyer: Responsible for managing critical purchasing activities Researching and identifying potential suppliers across relevant categories Comparing and evaluating supplier quotation to ensure best value and suitability Negotiating commercial terms, pricing and supply agreements Tracking purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services Prepare cost analysis and procurement reports Monitoring stock levels and placing orders based on ERP driven demand Requirements: Proven purchasing experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment Strong understanding of sourcing, vendor management and purchase process Ability to understand technical drawings Confident MS Office user Experience with ERP/MRP software such as Sage or SAP High level of accuracy and attention to detail The Buyer Role: Starting salary of £33,000 (negotiable depending on experience) Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension Scheme, Medical Cashplan If you are interested in this Buyer position, please apply below or get in contact with Jemma at Pert...
