Job Title: Customer Relationship Manager
Salary:£30,000 - £35,000
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Full Time
Location: Henley in Arden/Hybrid
Role Purpose
In this role, youll be at the forefront of building strong, lasting connections with customers through a mix of digital communication, phone and in person meetings (approx. 30% field-based). Youll take ownership of customer base in UK and Ireland, driving revenue growth through structured relationship management and targeted commercial activity.
With a focus on delivering a seamless service and identifying opportunities to expand accounts, you'll play a key role in supporting customer retention and development.
Key Duties
* Act as the primary contact for a set group of clients, engaging mainly through digital platforms and telephone communication, while also conducting regular face to face visits to strengthen engagement and trust
* Understand client needs through strategic conversations and deliver tailored advice on products and services
* Identify commercial opportunities within your accounts through thoughtful cross sell and upsell strategies
* Deliver product and service presentations to support the sales process through to successful close
* Share insights and feedback from customer interactions with internal teams to support product and service development
* Keep accurate and up to date logs of customer activity and touchpoints within the CRM system
* Play a role in forecasting and pipeline planning
* Assist in profiling customers and gathering market intelligence to support segmentation and targeted Collaborate with the Sales Manager to ensure a smooth handover and onboarding process for new customers
* Monitor and manage the processing of customer orders, ensuring timelines are met and expectations are exceeded
* Anticipate stock demands and coordinate with third party warehousing partners to maintain appropriate inventory levels
* Provide administrative and coordination support to the wider sales team, including assistance with product claims and resolution of defects
Key Skills/Experience Required
* Proven ability to manage customer relationships with a service led, sales focused approach
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across digital, phone and face to face interactions
* Highly organised, with strong time management and diary coordination abilities
* Proactive and self-motivated, comfortable working independently and taking initiative
* Strong attention to detail with a structured and disciplined approach to customer engagement
* Collaborative team player with a hands on mentality and a focus on delivering results
* Able to identify and act on growth and development opportunities within existing accounts
* Willingness to travel regularly, including visits within the UK and to Ireland as required
* Must hold a valid passport and a full, clean UK driving licence with your own car
* Experience within the construction or engineering sectors is advantageous but not essential full training will be provided
