Job Purpose and Primary Objectives
The purpose of this role is to provide expert-level operational support, administration, and optimisation of Azure IaaS and PaaS environments. The role ensures a secure, compliant, resilient, and well governed cloud estate by managing Azure infrastructure, implementing Defender for Cloud remediation, supporting application and database services, and maintaining adherence to organisational and security compliance frameworks
* Deliver secure and reliable Azure environments aligned to Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Landing Zone standards.
* Improve and maintain the cloud security posture by continuously implementing Defender for Cloud recommendations and CE+ compliance actions.
* Provide operational support across Azure compute, network, storage, SQL and PaaS databases, identity, and application platforms.
* Ensure continuity and reliability of cloud workloads through effective monitoring, patching, automation, and incident management.
* Support migration, optimisation, and lifecycle management of Azure workloads and services.
