Instructional Designer – Leadership Development

We are currently seeking the expertise of an Instructional Designer – Leadership Development to join our team from our office based in Bedford, NS.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, Leadership Development, the Instructional Designer – Leadership Development will be responsible for creating and designing educational materials and resources to support leadership development initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Design and develop classroom based, instructor-led training programs using adult learning principles to drive engagement and retention.
* Design and develop learner-led online training programs, including microlearning modules, using adult learning principles.
* Partner with subject matter experts to translate content into clear, interactive learning experiences.
* Create facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint decks, activities, case studies).
* Integrate assessment strategies (e.g., knowledge checks, role plays, scenario-based evaluations) to measure learning outcomes.
* Support program evaluation strategies (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model) to assess effectiveness and long‑term behaviour change.
* Manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high‑quality standards.
* Stay up to date on the latest leadership development topics and practices by researching, reading and participating in development initiatives.
* Other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in instructional design.
* Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint.
* Familiarity with RISE and Storyline for online development.
* Strong project management, organizational and communication skills.
* Thrive in a fast paced, changing and collaborative work environment.
* Post‑secondary education in adult education is preferred.
