A warm and weing primary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team. The school ismitted to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your new role
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support in a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging and accessible learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting whole-class learning and small group activities
2. Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
3. Helping to create a positive, focused, and supportive learning environment
4. Providing targeted support where needed to ensure pupil progress
This role is full-time, 5 days per week, and will continue until February half-term, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
What you'll need to succeed
5. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
6. Recent experience supporting children in a primary school setting (Year 3 or KS2 desirable)
7. A proactive, positive, patient, and flexible approach
8. Strongmunication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
9. A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
