Location: North Devon District Hospital
Hours: 37.5 per week, 5 days
Pay: £12.75 per hour

We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and people‑focused Zone Coordinator to support the delivery of exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards across the hospital. Your leadership will help ensure patients, staff, and visitors experience a safe and comfortable environment every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and coordinating a team of domestic cleaners across your zone
Ensuring all work meets National Specifications for Cleanliness
Managing rotas, allocating resources, and monitoring team performance
Overseeing the safe and efficient use of cleaning materials and equipment • Building strong working relationships with ward managers, matrons, and service users
Carrying out regular cleanliness audits and taking action where needed
Supporting training, coaching, and development of your team
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and infection control policies
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
At least 2 years’ experience in a cleaning team
Previous supervisory or team‑leading experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
A flexible, professional approach suited to a healthcare environment
Desirable:
Experience in healthcare settings
Customer service experience
Food hygiene or health & safety qualifications
