Programme Manager – Fixed Term / Secondment (1 year)
NHS Highland is seeking a Programme Manager to join the eHealth Department, providing leadership for the Hospitals Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme powered by TrakCare. This major clinical transformation programme will change how NHS Highland operates across all clinical staff and sites.
Phase 1 has delivered Emergency Department functionality to five hospitals, upgraded TrakCare including a mobile‑enabled user interface, and transitioned to supplier‑hosted arrangements on schedule. Phase 2 will implement Order Communications for electronic ordering and receipt of laboratory and radiology results. Future phases include expanding Emergency Department functionality to Minor Injuries Units, rolling out Order Communications across NHS Highland, and introducing electronic observations and digitising paper records.
* Provide expert programme advice and guidance.
* Ensure effective governance and programme delivery.
* Demonstrate inclusive leadership, engaging and empowering teams.
* Collaborate with eHealth and Strategy & Transformation teams.
* Engage heads of clinical services to support coordinated delivery.
Benefits include a reduced Agenda for Change full‑time working week of 36 hours from 1 April 2026, with a proportionate increase in hourly rate to maintain salary levels.
