Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across the Rochdale area. The Role:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across all year groups. You will be expected to assist in the delivery of high-quality education, provide one-to-one and group support, and contribute to the creation of a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support teaching and learning across the classroom, tailoring assistance to individual pupil needs
2. Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils achieve their learning goals
3. Assist in preparing learning resources and setting up classroom activities
4. Support pupils with additional needs or SEN where required
5. Monitor and track student progress, reporting concerns to the class teacher
6. Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
7. Help manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
8. Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
9. Have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK primary school setting
10. Possess a valid DBS certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Prospero Teaching
11. Have reliable transport and the willingness to travel to different schools across Rochdale
12. Be available to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all relevant compliance checks
