An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Service Engineer / Foreman to join a well-established engineering team in the North West. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the pump industry.
The Role:
You will lead a small team of engineers while remaining actively involved in the service, maintenance, and overhaul of a wide range of pump systems. This position combines technical expertise with supervisory responsibility, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support a team of field service engineers and fitters
* Plan and coordinate service, maintenance, and repair activities
* Carry out installation, fault finding, and overhaul of pump systems
* Lead on-site jobs, ensuring work is completed on time and within scope
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Liaise with clients, providing technical advice and updates
* Assist with training and development of junior engineers
* Complete detailed service reports and job documentation
About You:
* Extensive experience within the pump industry or rotating equipment
* Strong mechanical background with excellent fault-finding skills
* Previous supervisory or team leader experience
* Engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, or equivalent) preferred
* Good working knowledge of health & safety practices
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in workshop and site-based environments xsngvjr
* Knowledge of electrical systems and controls
* Experience working in sectors such as water, utilities, or manufacturing
