We’re looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our office-based Operations team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Poole.
Overview
Role: Supply Chain Manager. Location: Poole. Hours: 40 per week. This is not remote or hybrid.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the inventory levels held by Tower Supplies.
* Deliver stock availability and order fulfilment at the highest possible service levels.
* Meet and exceed relevant KPIs (e.g., OTIF, SLOB, MoH).
* Manage working capital through optimisation of stock levels and minimisation of excess stock without compromising service.
* Set stocking strategy reflecting usage, MOQs, EOQs, price breaks, and Customer Contracted Stock.
* Implement stocking and ordering decisions from S&OP meetings.
* Develop reports, strategies and processes to deliver year-on-year improvements and savings.
* Maintain relationships with current suppliers; organise and attend internal and external meetings.
* Act as a point of escalation for solving supplier issues; supplier scoring and development.
* Provide cost and usage analysis to support strategic decision making.
* Collaborate with supply partners, customers and wider business to strengthen offerings using available usage information and intelligence.
* Partner with divisions, understanding their needs and strategies; report progress to all levels of the business.
* Ensure supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
* Track performance with metrics and KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
* Complete essential tasks daily, weekly and monthly; carry out any other duties as required.
Qualifications
* Technically proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and fulfilment technologies.
* Meticulous approach to stock accuracy and availability.
* Excellent communication skills with a team-based and self-starting approach to workload management.
* Experience in FMCG, wholesale distribution or related industries preferred.
