Job Summary
I am looking for a personable carer for my son who is 38 years old and suffers from cerebral palsy. He is a good communicator with a great sense of humour and is passionate about football and loves to participate with friends playing pool and dominoes. He has regular exercises to do at home to help strengthen and maintain muscle health.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care including general hand and foot care, shaving, and assisting to the barber's at least once every 6 weeks.
* Drive the son where needed; a car driver is essential.
* Keep the son warm at all times and provide stability when walking, as he needs a companion while walking along the local piers.
* Hours to be arranged mutually with both parties.
Requirements
* Must have a valid DBS check.
* Must be able to get along with Roger, the rescue cat.
* Must have permission to work in the U.K.
* Preferably live close to Whitburn and be able to drive.
