Our Logistics warehouse is based in Steeton, which is 5 miles south-east of Skipton, 3 miles north-west of Keighley and has free car parking and is easily accessible via rail or bus links.
Job Overview:
Responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse, this role ensures the adherence to all applicable regulations and contributes to a secure, well-organised work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operate a VNA forklift truck to move goods to assigned storage areas to ensure stock is in the right location at the right time.
•Load and unload stock with care to maintain proper placement and handling.
•Utilise the Warehouse Management System to monitor inventory levels and manage stock.
•Consistently follow all health & safety processes to maintain a safe & secure working environment for all colleagues.
•Collaborate with colleagues to enhance workflow processes and efficiency.
•When required, support with other general warehouse activities such as picking & packing or goods-in.
•Perform regular safety checks on forklift equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety.
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a VNA Forklift Driver or experience driving another forklift truck such as Reach or Counterbalance is essential – you’ll need a valid VNA or FLT licence for this role, and you’ll be comfortable working at height. Having good special awareness in confined spaces is key and a strong understanding and compliance to warehouse safety. A collaborative and flexible approach to work, with a willingness to support various warehouse tasks when needed.
