Engineering @365 is working with a forward-thinking technical services business specialising in the design, delivery, and support of integrated electronic and mechanical security systems for commercial and industrial clients. The company is entering an exciting growth phase and is now seeking a groundworks supervisor.
About the Role:
This position is ideal for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor who can lead from the front and take ownership of site-based teams delivering trenching, ducting, drainage, cabling, and reinstatement works on major energy and infrastructure projects.
You will oversee daily site operations, manage teams of groundworkers, and ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification. This is a hands-on supervisory role that requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Due to the nature of the work, nationwide travel and regular overnight stays will be required (around 70–80% of the time).
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate daily activities of groundworks teams on active sites
* Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with RAMS, drawings, and specifications.
* Liaise with project management, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain progress and standards.
* Carry out setting out, measurements, and quality inspections.
* Deliver site briefings, toolbox talks, and promote a strong safety culture.
* Provide hands-on support and guidance to operatives where required.
* Record site progress and report back to project management team
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Groundworks Supervisor / Foreman with direct line management responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of trenching, ducting, cabling, drainage, and reinstatement.
* Competent in buried service avoidance.
* CSCS Supervisor card (essential).
* SSSTS or SMSTS (essential).
* Full UK driving licence.
