Commercial law firm in London is seeking to recruit a Competition lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE to work alongside leading practitioners on complex, high-value competition and regulatory matters. The Competition team operates from the firm’s London and Brussels offices, supporting clients on UK and cross-border competition law matters, including multi-jurisdictional merger filings, cartel investigations, and regulatory appeals. Clients include numerous household name businesses across the firm’s focus sectors (including financial services, technology, automotive, energy & infrastructure, and retail & consumer goods) and beyond. They are well-regarded for supporting our clients on all aspects of competition law. In addition to being trusted advisors on antitrust compliance, in the past year alone they have acted for main parties involved in a major cartel investigation and a Phase 2 merger control review. As a team, they also collaborate closely with colleagues in the firm’s corporate, commercial, commercial litigation and regulatory teams, gaining exposure to high-profile mandates and direct client engagement. They also handle the NSI Act aspects of corporate transactions. The successful candidate will be part of a team advising a diverse client base, from FTSE-listed companies and global brands to fast-growing disruptors, on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious competition law issues. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with broad experience across all aspects of competition law (including merger control, antitrust investigations, compliance advisory work and competition litigation). A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to the team’s business development efforts is also important.
