Business Development Manager – HR, Recruitment & Payroll (Northwest)

We’re growing fast and we’re looking for a driven, ambitious Business Development Manager to join our team and take Altum HR to the next level in the Northwest. The Role:
As our new Business Development Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our growth. Your mission:
* Build strong, lasting relationships with business owners, leaders, and professional partners across the Northwest.
* Promote and expand Altum HR’s Partnership Network by connecting with accountants, solicitors, and business groups who can introduce us to their clients.
* Represent Altum HR at networking events, conferences, and client meetings — you’ll be the face of our brand.
* Manage the full sales cycle: from sourcing leads and booking meetings, to delivering consultative sales conversations and closing deals.
* Understand client challenges and present tailored solutions across our market-leading HR, Recruitment, and Payroll services.
* Smash targets, exceed expectations, and enjoy uncapped rewards for your hard work.
This is a field-based, people-first sales role with plenty of autonomy, variety, and opportunity to grow.
What We’re Looking For:
We don’t just want a “salesperson.” We want someone who:
* Is a self-starter — motivated, ambitious, and hungry to succeed.
* Thrives in a target-driven environment, with a track record in B2B sales (HR, recruitment, payroll, or professional services experience is a plus, but not essential).
* Can build instant rapport and inspire confidence with business leaders and decision-makers.
* Is resilient, tenacious, and doesn’t take “no” as the final answer.
* Has excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
* Holds a full UK driving licence and is happy to travel across the Northwest.
