Job Description
Effectively manage early learning and childcare for children 0-8 years and their families, supporting the integration of universal services within a specified locality. Assist in promoting, delivering, and integrating the Council’s key objectives, specifically relating to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The role involves Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal employment offer can be made by East Ayrshire Council.
PVG records are continuously updated with new vetting information. Any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

During your application, you should provide at least two relevant references, including one from your current or most recent employer, which should be from an appropriate senior manager, not a peer at the same level.

The Individual
This is a permanent, full-time, term-time position based at Darvel Early Childhood Centre, Darvel.
The working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approximately 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The full-time annual salary ranges from £55,201 to £60,315. The actual salary for the term-time position is between £47,345 and £51,731.
