The Role: This role sits within our sales organization for Morningstar Sustainalytics, which is responsible for driving growth for the business unit and helping our clients successfully address their ESG goals. The commercial unit of Morningstar Sustainalytics is responsible for the client experience across our investor clients.
We're passionate about sales and ESG and sustainable finance. Our Sales Managers build strong relationships with stakeholders at asset managers/owners (like pension funds), wealth managers, hedge funds, insurances, and banks to deepen their integration of ESG solutions and support their transition to responsible investing using market-leading research and data.
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across all areas of Morningstar Sustainalytics and to work with Client Success teams to grow our market presence. Your understanding of investor needs and business drivers, preferably with an interest in responsible investment, will be key to success.
As a Sales Manager, you will be an experienced business development professional contributing to our UK business growth. The role emphasizes relationship development with clients and prospects, as well as maintaining an existing Book of Business. You will represent Morningstar Sustainalytics from early on.
What You'll Do
* Develop and implement business development strategies for the UK region.
* Build relationships with clients, prospects, and industry leaders.
* Manage a Book of Business, maintaining existing accounts and developing new opportunities.
* Grow a sales pipeline by prospecting and closing opportunities, renewing existing business, and representing the company at industry events.
Who You Are
* Fluent in English (essential)
* 5-7 years' experience in Business Development or financial services
* Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment, preferably within financial services.
* Experience managing the full sales process from prospecting to closing and relationship management.
* Genuine interest in sustainable investing and alignment with Morningstar Sustainalytics' mission.
* Ability to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and communicate product value effectively.
