Job Overview:
Could you work as part of a global team of dedicated engineers supporting Arm users?
As a Deskside Engineer within Arm, you will work within a team focusing on the end-user experience of IT across all functions, from engineering to marketing. You will be responsible for ensuring that all users have the best possible IT experience, regardless of operating system or technical ability. Supporting Linux, Windows, Mac, and mobile devices, you will strive to excel in all deliverables.
The deskside engineering team handles support requests that cannot be fulfilled by the service desk or remote support teams, from new user device setup to complex desktop issues. This includes coverage of our Cambridge Office Tech Hub on a rota basis.
Responsibilities:
* Provide proactive and reactive support across key geographic locations.
* Represent the human face of technology to office users in our key locations.
* Collaborate as a team to provide global support across all Arm offices and time zones.
* Support approximately 7,000 users on Linux, Windows, Mac, and mobile operating systems.
* Take accountability for supporting technology used by your assigned users.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Support for various technologies, including laptops, audio/video equipment, and peripherals.
* Hands-on experience with Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment.
* Experience supporting Office 365 across different operating systems.
* Ability to meet tight SLAs and KPIs while maintaining focus on end-user experience and rapport.
Nice To Have Skills and Experience:
* Basic hardware fault diagnosis, resolution, and setup skills.
* Experience in frontline, hands-on support within a technology organization.
* Passion for personalizing support and achieving success.
* Effective communication skills across all levels of business and technology.
