Cardiac Physiologist Helper – Band 2
Applications are invited for a highly motivated individual to join the Cardiology team at Croydon University Hospital (Croydon Health Services NHS Trust). This is a busy and demanding role; the successful candidate will need experience of working in a busy department/ward.

Main duties
The main role is to assist the Cardiac Physiologists in their daily clinical work as well as performing some clerical and office duties. You will also be taught how to perform ECGs and help with stock control for the department.
The Cardiology Department is based in the Croydon Heart Centre along with a Cardiac Catheter Suite and Daycare Unit. It provides a comprehensive range of non-invasive procedures including: ECGs, Ambulatory monitoring (ECG, Event and BP), Technician-led Exercise Tests, Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography, Adult and Paediatric Transthoracic Echocardiography (including contrast, bubble studies and stress echo). There are also specialist Heart Failure, Valve and Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinics.
This post is based at Croydon University Hospital but some days may be required at Purley and New Addington Community Diagnostic Centres.

Qualifications
* Essential: Good level of general education

Experience
* Essential: Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Desirable: Previous experience working in an NHS setting
