We are recruiting for a Ground Investigation Technician to join our team in Ross-on-Wye. Whether you have experience or are just starting out, this role offers a great opportunity to grow with us.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work in a team carrying-out all aspects of intrusive ground investigation.
* Operate drilling rigs including tracked and hand-held window sampling.
* Use hand augers, excavation tools, and small plant such as breakers.
* Conduct in-situ field tests including shear vane, penetrometer, and Macintosh probe.
* Log soils and collect samples for laboratory testing including sample logistics.
* Learn CCTV camera surveys of drainage systems.
* Reinstate surfaces to satisfaction of clients.
* Perform regular maintenance tasks and share driving.
* Set up and manage project sites, monitor progress, and ensure safety.

Ideal Candidate:

* Clean manual driving license and willingness to share driving a large van.
Additional Information:
* Our sites are throughout the UK and may involve away travel although mainly based in the West and Midlands.
* Jobs typically involve early starts (7am) and returning late-afternoon, usually 6-8 hours door-to-door. The salary is based on a 40 hour contract.
* Ideally, you will live within a short drive of Ross-on-Wye or Gloucester.
