About the Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on, performance‑minded Creative Content Lead to own end‑to‑end content across our brands: The Rugs (affordable rugs – core audience: women 25–55) and Bedable (luxury bedding). This is a combined role: you will both plan the creative (strategy, concepts, scripting) and execute it (shooting, editing, delivery).

This role is ideal for someone who can take full ownership – turning ideas into shoot‑ready plans, then producing high‑quality short‑form videos and visual assets with minimal back‑and‑forth. You will drive content momentum across paid social and organic, while also supporting website banners and campaigns.


Key Responsibilities


Creative Strategy & Planning

* Own creative direction and content strategy across all brands and channels
* Build monthly content calendars for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and website banners, and work with the Marketing Manager to plan paid ads creatives
* Develop fully resolved creative concepts: hooks, angles, messaging, structure, pacing, and variations for testing
* Script short‑form video content scene‑by‑scene (and where required, second‑by‑second) including on‑screen text and CTA
* Translate product features into strong creative narratives aligned with brand tone and aesthetic
* Monitor trends and audience behaviour (UK, EU, US) and adapt concepts quickly without losing brand consistency
* Review performance data and propose creative tests/iterations based on results


Production & Editing

* Film and produce short‑form video content (UGC‑style, product‑focused, lifestyle content) aligned to briefs you create
* Execute high‑quality editing with strong pacing, retention‑focused structure, and platform‑native style
* Add subtitles, on‑screen text, sound design, and transitions consistent with brand standards
* Create multiple iterations (hooks, edits, formats) for performance testing
* Deliver finished assets in the correct formats for paid ads, organic, and web use (ratios, lengths, file naming)
* Maintain an organised content library (raw footage, project files, exported variants, templates)


Brand & Quality Control

* Ensure all assets align with brand identity, visual standards, and commercial goals
* Maintain consistency across multiple brands while adapting tone/aesthetic appropriately
* Keep output quality high while working at speed and volume
* Collaborate with marketing team on priorities, launches, and campaign needs


What This Role Is Not

* Not a role where strategy is separate from execution – you own both
* Not a role dependent on heavy supervision or detailed task lists
* Not a role focused only on editing or only on planning


Requirements

* 2+ year experience creating and editing content in e‑commerce / lifestyle / home / fashion sectors
* Strong portfolio of short‑form video (TikTok/Meta Reels) demonstrating both concept and execution
* Ability to write clear briefs/scripts and then execute them accurately
* Strong editing skills (CapCut / Premiere / Final Cut or similar) with platform‑native style awareness
* Strong aesthetic sense for UK and global home/lifestyle content
* Comfortable working independently and remotely, with strong time management
* Data‑aware mindset: able to learn from performance and iterate quickly


Nice to Have

* Experience producing content specifically for paid social performance (hook testing, variant testing, retention edits)
* Basic photography / product styling skills for lifestyle and room content
* Experience creating website banners or simple motion graphics


Success in This Role Looks Like

* Consistent weekly output of high‑quality videos and iterations ready for paid and organic
* Clear creative systems: repeatable formats, hook libraries, testing frameworks
* Strong improvement in video retention, CTR, and creative contribution to ROAS/CPA over time
* Measurable growth in social media performance: increased followers, reach, engagement rates, and overall account momentum
* Minimal back‑and‑forth needed – concepts and execution are both owned and delivered end‑to‑end
