We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Fosse Way.
HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state-of-the-art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.
This position is full time, and you'll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing outstanding, patient-centered care by seeking out, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to ensure personalized and informed care.
* Focusing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, maintaining patient medical records to the standard and following standard operating procedures.
* Delivering non-judgmental care within professional standards, from administering medicines to analyzing cost-effective prescribing as per our medicines policy.
* Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to make a real difference.

Minimum qualifications and experience
* NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up-to-date with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently following policies and procedures
Experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment is preferred but not essential.
