We are seeking a passionate and skilled bank Chef to join our team to help and support on a temporary basis, to cover annual leave and absences as and when required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, ideally within a care home setting with the ability to lead and manage a kitchen effectively. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that enhance the dining experience. Groveland Park is a 55 bed Luxury Residential care home rated Outstanding. We are looking for a bank chef to support our chef manager to provide our residents with their nutritional needs in a luxury setting.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* To plan with the head chef, prepare and cook a variety of meals which are appealing, nutritious and centres around residents' preferences, requests or any special dietary requirements.
* To be active and encouraging, provide advice and guidance for the
* team ensuring that The home is a friendly, supportive working environment.
* To deputies for the head chef in their absence to include all of their duties.
* To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment within the home.
* Monitor and maintain cleaning schedules that meet the requirements of the Food Safety Manual, and ensure that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean. This will include the washing up of pots, pans and dishes when required.
* Responsible for all kitchen equipment ensuring it is in full, safe working order, reporting any damage or faults to the Maintenance Manager and Home Manager and following up any appropriate action.
* To be an active member of the home team, contribute to team meetings, and assist the Home Manager with the selection, interviewing, induction and on-going management and development of catering staff.
* To be understanding towards Residents and their needs and attend resident/relative meetings. Regularly monitor and assess Residents satisfaction with the catering service provided in their home, and respond accordingly and positively to ideas and feedback.
* All concerns regarding possible abuse of a vulnerable adult must be reported immediately, to the person in charge, who will report to the board of directors.
* Carry out any reasonable request made by Head Chef, manager, or director of the company.
