The Integrated Care Partnership have an excitingopportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our friendly andsupportive practice team. You will be supported by a fantastic MDT team,comprising of Practice Nurses, GPs, HCAs, Practice Paramedics, Physiotherapist,Mental Health Nurse and Clinical Pharmacists, along with a very friendlypatient services team and supportive practice management team. We are happy toconsider both full time and part time applicants.
Main duties of the job
Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and strictlyin accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the post holderwill assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery ofprescribed programmes of patient care. We are looking to recruit motivated staffmembers to complement our existing team

Job responsibilities
The successful candidatewill be expected to perform all related Healthcare Assistant duties, including,but not exhaustive:
New patienthealth checks
ECGrecording
BPrecording
Phlebotomy
Basic woundcare
Administer Flu Vaccinationsand other medications with appropriate training and under a Patient SpecificDirection (PSD)
Chaperoning duties
Processing and management oflaboratory samples requested by GPs/ANPs/ACPs/Nurses
Sterilising, cleansing andmaintenance of surgical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage,monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and vaccinere-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stockingconsulting rooms
Preparing and maintainingenvironments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions,including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations and/orwomens health clinics
Assisting in the assessmentand surveillance of patients health and well-being
Assisting in the provision ofcare for long term conditions as required (and with appropriate training andguidance)
Undertaking specific clinicalactivities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specificallyin relation to that individual
Helping to raise awareness ofhealth and well-being and how it can be promoted
Assistingwith the collection and collation of data on needs related to health andwell-being
Tomaintain accurate records at all times
Attendand participate in any practice meetings when required
Contribute to maintaining safe systems of workand a safe environment
Undertake other duties appropriate to the gradeof the post
Havethe ability to use own judgment and resourcefulness
Acommitment to maintain a high professional standard and keep up to date withall aspects of care relevant to the post, taking responsibility for owndevelopment, learning and performance
