We’re looking for a Compliance and Health & Safety Manager who will take a lead inensuring that our housing and care stock meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
About the Role
As Compliance and H&S Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Ensuring strategic and operational frameworks are in place to meet all regulatory and legislative responsibilities.
2. Delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service that is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with performance targets.
3. Championing a person-centred, community-driven approach to service delivery through our place-based model.
4. Leading the development and implementation of Hafod’s compliance strategy across our asset base.
5. Acting as a key point of reference for best practice in asset management compliance, including electrical safety and other statutory areas.
6. Supporting the delivery of safe, well-maintained homes and care environments through robust systems, audits, and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
7. Oversee the Health & Safety Management System across all business areas.
8. Lead on statutory compliance including gas, electricity, asbestos, fire safety, legionella, and lifting equipment.
9. Manage external contracts and ensure value for money in service delivery.
10. Provide technical advice and support across the organisation.
11. Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reporting tools.
12. Manage delegated budgets and contribute to long-term investment planning.
13. Promote a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement within your team.
What We’re Looking For
14. Proven experience in compliance and health & safety management within housing, care, or asset-based sectors.
15. Strong leadership and team development skills.
16. Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory obligations.
17. Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and performance data effectively.
18. A collaborative mindset and commitment to customer engagement.
