Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Marlow, who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a supportive Key Stage 2 environment and make an immediate impact on pupils’ learning and progress.
About the Role
This role offers the chance to take ownership of a Year 5 class at a key point in their academic journey, helping pupils build confidence and prepare for the transition into Year 6.
Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching a Year 5 class and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons across the curriculum
Planning, assessing, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Stretching and challenging pupils while providing support where needed
Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Delivering targeted interventions to support academic and personal development
Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards

What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from teachers who are passionate about Key Stage 2 and ready to hit the ground running.
You will ideally:
Hold QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent qualification (unqualified teachers considered)
Have experience teaching within KS2, particularly Year 5
Be confident delivering engaging and purposeful lessons
Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Be positive, proactive, and committed to making a difference
