The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our Engineering team at our busy industrial site in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining, installing and improving electrical systems across the site, ensuring plant, equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with electrical safety legislation and established site procedures.
* Carry out all electrical tasks in full compliance with statutory regulations, applicable standards and internal compliance policies.
* Install, service and enhance site lighting systems, incorporating energy‑efficient solutions where appropriate.
* Undertake mechanical and electrical (M&E) installation work to support production requirements, facilities maintenance and site improvement projects.
* Conduct testing, inspection and certification of electrical installations (where appropriately qualified), ensuring accurate records are completed and maintained for compliance purposes.
* Contribute to continuous improvement activities, including site enhancements and system modifications.
* Adhere strictly to health and safety policies at all times, actively supporting and promoting a strong safety culture.
Skills, Experience & Competencies
* Proven experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) installations.
* Experience with lighting installations, upgrades and energy efficiency projects.
* Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance systems.
* Strong safety‑focused mindset with consistent adherence to health and safety procedures.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Reliable and accountable, taking ownership of tasks through to completion.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with production teams, maintenance colleagues and contractors.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship and accurate record keeping.
* Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and development.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent recognised electrical qualification).
* City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Shift Pattern
* Week 1 – Monday‑Thursday 06:00‑14:00 / Friday 06:00‑11:30
* Week 2 – Monday‑Thursday 14:00‑22:00 / Monday‑Thursday 14:00‑19:30
