SF Executive are working with a privately owned multi site product business with sites in the Midlands, South West and Thames Valley to recruit a commercially aware but technically capable Finance Director.
The business in question has been through considerable growth in the last five years and is now ready to kick onto the next level with this hire.
As right hand to the CEO and COO, you will lead on all financial, management and statutory reporting - you will also lead commercial discussions around pricing, cost base, working capital and debt management.
Given that the business has one element of manufacturing and one element akin to FMCG, you will currently be a CFO / FD or number two to a CFO / FD and be currently working for a product led SME.
You will be used to the breadth of role that is afforded to senior finance professionals in an SME but may also have worked in a blue chip business - you will have an appreciation of what good looks like from a finance perspective.
Whilst not in the short term, there could be potential for a medium term business exit which, as Finance Director, you would lead on - whilst some exposure to a previous deal / business exit would be interesting, it is by no means a pre-requisite.
In an ideal world, we are looking for someone on an upward career trajectory - in truth someone seeking (and being ready for) their first no 1 finance role would be ideal for this opportunity.
