Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial landscape. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
* Manage Daily Operations: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
* Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Budget Development: Collaborate with leadership to create and implement budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
* Performance Analysis: Analyze financial performance and key metrics, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
* Compliance Coordination: Work with external auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners to ensure compliance and effective communication.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
* Process Enhancement: Improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
* Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Experience: At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong background in manufacturing or industrial automation environments is preferred.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and familiarity with accounting software systems.
* Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and audit procedures.
* Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
* Leadership Ability: Proven track record of supervising and developing a team of accounting professionals.
* Onsite Work: Comfortable working onsite at our River Falls, Wisconsin location.
