JOB OVERVIEW The Operations Analyst role will focus on supporting the CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) strategy within Hayfin’s Liquid Credit business. This position will involve working closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure smooth operational processes for CLO transactions and ongoing portfolio management activities. RESPONSIBILITIES The CLO Operations Analyst will be responsible for all operational aspects of Hayfin’s CLO strategy. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Portfolio Administration: Overseeing the administration of CLO portfolios, including compliance monitoring and reporting requirements. Cash Flow Management: Monitoring cash flows within CLO structures to ensure proper allocation and distribution according to deal documentation. Reconciliations: Performing daily reconciliations of positions and cash balances across systems and service providers. Onboarding of new CLO/Warehouse: work through the full life cycle of onboarding a new CLO including reviewing warehouse tests, drawdown requests and flow of funds. IPD Calculations: Perform Interest Payment Date (IPD) calculations for CLO structures, ensuring accurate tracking of interest accruals, payments, and compliance with deal documentation. Vendor Management: Coordinating with third-party administrators and trustees to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Data Governance: Ensuring data integrity by establishing robust processes, procedures, and controls for data handling within the team. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks or exposures within operational processes; implementing control measures to mitigate these risks effectively. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations governing CLO operations and reporting standards. Projects: Participating in team or firmwide projects related to process improvement, automation initiatives, or new product launches within the Liquid Credit space. Requirements SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Experience working with primary and secondary loans or structured credit products (e.g., CLOs): Minimum of 1–3 years either as an administrator or buy-side operations professional. Adaptability: Flexibility in response to changing conditions or priorities within a fast-paced environment. Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of loan trade settlements, reconciliations, payments processing, and data governance principles. Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Bloomberg; experience using asset servicing systems such as WSO/Solvas/Sentry. Delivery Focused: Ability to manage deliverables effectively while meeting deadlines across daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships internally across teams and externally with service providers or stakeholders. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities aligned with business objectives. Risk Management & Compliance: Experience in identifying risks within operational processes; ensuring adherence to established controls and mitigating incidents proactively.
