About the Role:
We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker to join a brand-new childrens residential Learning Disabilities (LD) service in Wolverhampton. This is a key leadership role within the home, supporting the management team while delivering high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead day shifts, act as a positive role model for the staff team and help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment that promotes independence, communication, emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes for children and young people.
Pay & Hours:
* £13.00 £15.00 per hour
* Day shifts only
* Flexible rota covering early and late day shifts
* Temp-to-perm opportunity within a new service
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing direct care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs
2. Leading day shifts and acting as the senior on duty
3. Supporting, mentoring and guiding Residential Support Workers to maintain high standards of care
4. Assisting with care plans, risk assessments and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
