CABE Engineering is a leading provider of bespoke technical solutions and process machinery, serving the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Due to rapid growth, We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our current accounts team. This pivotal role will oversee the company's financial operations and office administration, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and supporting effective decision-making across the organisation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive expertise in financial management and contribute significantly to the ongoing growth and stability of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
* Direct and oversee all accounting operations, including payroll administration.
* Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
* Develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies; monitor performance and provide detailed variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
* Ensure strict compliance with corporate governance, audit standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
* Serve as the principal liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Office & Administrative Management
* Supervise day-to-day office operations, maintaining a professional, efficient, and well-structured working environment.
* Manage office resources, facilities, service contracts, and administrative processes to enhance operational efficiency.
* Support human resources activities, including recruitment coordination, onboarding, personnel record management, and policy implementation.
* Oversee procurement processes, including supplier selection, order management, and contract negotiation, ensuring reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
* Foster strong supplier and stakeholder relationships to support business continuity and growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial experience, including at least 5 years in a controller or senior financial management position.
* Demonstrated expertise in office management and procurement within a corporate environment.
* Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, compliance frameworks, and reporting standards.
* Proficiency in financial systems, including SAGE 50, with advanced skills in MS Office applications.
* Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
* Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities.
