Primary School Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support

Hours: Full‑time, term‑time only
We are looking for a caring, patient and motivated Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil in a primary school setting. This is a rewarding role where you will play a key part in helping a child thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child with behavioural or social‑emotional needs.
* Help create a safe, nurturing and engaging classroom environment.
* Use a patient, proactive and enthusiastic approach to support learning and behaviour.
* Work closely with the class teacher and wider team, maintaining strong communication.
* Follow the school’s policies, safeguarding procedures and behaviour strategies.
Requirements
* Experience in a primary school or working with children is desirable — but not essential for the right person.
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, confidence and development.
* Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Willingness to complete all required safeguarding and training modules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
